REAL ESTATE: Sanchez video says thanks; inspire sales : Real Estate

Julio Sanchez had a wonderful dilemma.

With Re/Max Results in Moreno Valley for 18 years, and residential real estate sales tallying more than $8 million annually, Sanchez felt he needed to find a way to connect with clients on a deeper level than the usual thank-you luncheon, dinner or house-warming party event.

?The REO market is dying down, and we?re starting to concentrate on short sales and standard sales,? he said. ?We do have buyers, but we also needed a way to leverage our business from the clients we?ve already served.?

The solution?

Sanchez and his five-member sales team ? it includes a son studying for his license, Julio, Jr., selling partners Mary Carmen and Lupita Guiterrez and transaction coordinator Ursula Perez ? organized their first annual picnic in Celebration Park of Moreno Valley for clients.

A VIP list of 300 was created for the Oct. 13 event. A Facebook blast went out. And a gas grill was purchased for the day?s give-away.

?We wanted to strike up a stronger relationship with them,? so a slide show video clip was created using Animoto.com from photos Sanchez and others took at the event.

Sanchez, an Inland area Realtor who responded to a request to submit best work examples of social media for our Real Estate Blog, said the picnic will definitely be held again. Besides fostering a feeling of neighborhood and family, he said it will goes far to anchor repeat business.

He said he got a referral that day; five to six others have come in since.

As for Sanchez, he?s sold on social media. ?It?s a really fast way to connect with people,? he said.

Do you have a social media clip or technique you?re proud of?
