I hate looking at resumes, but I'd be happy to tell you what sets applicants apart when I'm interviewing and reviewing resumes. Now, not everyone will agree with my advice, and it definitely can be industry and company-size specific, but these are things that make people successful at my company. And I'll also recommend the book 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller. Kind of Jesusy (if you aren't into that kind of thing), but I was able to totally overlook it. And I was very skeptical when I read it, but dang - it worked. I went from a job that I hated to a career & company that I've been with for 6.5 years and have nearly tripled my income with.
Here's what sets people apart when I'm hiring - I'm in marketing for a business-to-business sales team. We're a publicly traded company with about 600 employees.
- Someone who goes above and beyond. Just submitting a resume online is *yawn*. Some organizations may hate it, but any candidate who sends an "application packet" with their resume, a TAILORED cover letter, work samples, nice packaging, etc - automatically is getting an interview. One of my more recent hires had submitted an application online but never heard back from HR so found my name by searching online and emailed me to very nicely ask if there was anyone she could talk to to find out more. I liked the initiative. Being resourceful and taking initiative will serve you well.
- Cover letters are way more interesting than resumes. Make the cover letter about the COMPANY you are applying to, not about yourself. Read news articles about things the company is dealing with and mention them in your letter. Even if you're totally off on the division you are applying to (like you talk about a regulation challenge they are facing but it ends up you were actually applying for a HR position), it doesn't really matter. It shows you care about the company and aren't just sending out mass letters. It also shows you can write.
- Include measureable numbers in your resume and highlights of your accomplishments. Don't just state your duties in past roles, state what you actually accomplished. Bullet point it and keep it brief. One page. Resumes are the worst.
- I'd suggest including one reference LETTER in your resume packet with a listing of one or two other people they can contact by email/phone. A letter of the reference is much more compelling because people are unlikey to call references until they get through the interview. But if there's a letter, I'll read it and it will likely set you apart in my mind.
- Send a thank you note if you get an interview. Email is okay but hand-written is best. If you're worried about it not getting there in time, send one via email and a follow up one hand-written. It doesn't have to be long-winded but it does make people stand out.
- This is SO duh, but be on time but NOT MORE THAN 10 MINUTES EARLY for interviews. I have had people show up up to 50 minutes early. That is a huge imposition on someone's day and schedule. Get to the location early but don't go in until 10 minutes before (unless they have told you there is a security process - this is a question to ask when setting the interview time).
- At every step in the process, drive home your desire to listen, learn more about what the company needs from this role, and how you can accomplish that job and then figure out how to do even more than they knew they needed. Don't talk about why you want the job and what it would do for you and what's so cool to you about the job. Talk about what THEY need and their "job to be done."
House Speaker John Boehner (Alex Wong/Getty Images)
WASHINGTON -- House Speaker John Boehner on Friday said that despite receiving a counter-proposal from the White House as part of a deal to avoid a series of automatic tax increases and spending cuts, no progress had been made between Republicans and Democrats.
"There's a stalemate, let's not kid ourselves," Boehner, a Republican from Ohio, told reporters during a news conference on Capitol Hill. "It's not a serious proposal. Right now we're almost nowhere."
The White House on Thursday sent Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to deliver a proposal to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff by increasing taxes by $1.6 trillion over the next decade, including a $50 billion spending plan for mostly infrastructure spending and an offer of $400 billion reduction in spending on the federal government's Medicare program.
Republicans rejected it right out. Senate Majority Leader reportedly laughed in Geithner's face.
"Our original framework still stands," Boehner said the next day, reiterating his opposition to raising tax rates on on any income bracket. He added that he remains open to "closing loopholes [and] getting rid of special interest deductions" within the tax code to raise the same amount of revenue.
"I'm not trying to make this more difficult," he said. "You've watched me over the last three weeks; I've been very guarded in what I have to say. Because I don't want to make it harder for me our the president, or members of both parties to be able to find common ground."
While negotiators continue talks behind closed doors, both parties continue to engage in their own public relations tour to promote their own plans. President Barack Obama on Friday traveled to Pennsylvania and Republican lawmakers plan to meet with small business owners over the next few weeks.

NIH study shows improvements in animals with Down syndrome characteristics
Mice with a condition that serves as a laboratory model for Down syndrome perform better on memory and learning tasks as adults if they were treated before birth with neuroprotective peptides, according to researchers at the National Institutes of Health.
Down syndrome results when an individual receives an extra copy of chromosome 21. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Down syndrome occurs in 1 of every 691 births. Features of Down syndrome include delays in mental and physical development and poor muscle tone. These features may vary greatly, ranging from mild to severe.
The researchers studied growth factors that are important at certain key stages of brain development in the womb. Named for the first three amino acids making up their chemical sequence, NAP and SAL, are small peptides (small protein sub units) of two proteins. These two proteins enhance the ability of brain cells to receive and transmit signals, and enable them to survive. (NAP is an abbreviation for NAPVSIPQ and SALfor SALLRSIPA.)
The mice in the study had an extra copy of mouse chromosome 16, which has mouse counterparts to 55 percent of the genes on human chromosome 21.The researchers treated pregnant mice with NAP and SAL for five days, then tested the mouse offspring at 8 to 12 months of age, comparing them to mice treated with a saline solution (placebo). Mice with the extra chromosomal material that were treated with NAP and SAL in the womb learned as well as mice that did not have the extra chromosome, and significantly faster than mice with the extra chromosome that were treated with saline solution.
"Our study has provided important information that may help in the understanding of Down syndrome," said senior author Catherine Y. Spong, M.D., chief of the unit on perinatal and developmental neurobiology at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the NIH institute where the research was conducted.
Dr. Spong collaborated with first author Maddalena Incerti, M.D., Kari Horowitz MD, Robin Roberson, Daniel Abebe, Laura Toso, M.D., and Madeline Caballero, all of the NICHD Unit on Perinatal and Developmental Neurobiology. Dr. Incerti also is affiliated with the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy, and Dr. Horowitz now is affiliated with the University of Connecticut, Farmington.
Their findings appear online in PLOS ONE.
In an earlier study, Dr. Spong and her colleagues found that, if treated with NAP and SAL in the womb, mice with the extra copy of chromosome 16, achieved developmental milestones earlier than did mice with an extra copy of chromosome 16 that had not been treated. In that study, the researchers examined developmental milestones for sensory, motor skill, and muscle tone development in the first three weeks of life.
"In our earlier work, we showed that treating the mice during pregnancy could prevent developmental delay as assessed with milestones," Dr. Spong said. "In this study, we showed that treatment with NAP and SAL not only puts the animals on a typical developmental trajectory, it also improves their ability to learn.
For the current study, pregnant mice received injections of the two protein fragments starting eight days after conception. This is equivalent to the end of the first trimester in a human pregnancy.
The researchers tested the learning skills of the mice when the animals reached adulthood. The mice were placed in a tank of water on a clear platform. The tank had symbols on each wall that the mice could use to orient themselves. Researchers then placed the mice directly in the water and timed how long it took them to locate the platform. With repeated trials, the mice become more adept at the task and take less time to reach the platform.
Over five days of testing, the researchers found that the time spent searching for the platform decreased substantially for all groups except the mice with the extra copy of chromosome 16 that were not treated with NAP and SAL in the womb.
The research of Dr. Spong's team is part of an NIH-wide focus on Down syndrome outlined in a 2007 Down syndrome research plan. The plan highlights research priorities for the field, including establishing a Down syndrome patient registry, which was announced Oct. 25, 2012.

In true Call Of Duty tradition, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 has got a good share of easter eggs: some are easy to miss, others don?t serve a real purpose while others activate a special music track or even let you play some arcade classics from the 80s.
Thor?s Hammer
There?s no real reason in including the hammer for the Norse Thunder God Thor in a game like Black Ops 2, except to show gamers the love developers have for that god, or probably just of the Marvel Comics character based on the ancient god.? The Mjolnir can be seen during the Celerium mission in single player campaign: after the wingsuits are used for the first time, you?ll have to clear the area near the elevator. Once you?re done, go back to the ridge and there should be a small ravine: get down and enter the cave: the hammer is inside. As I said, there?s no real purpose in discovering this easter egg since the hammer can?t be used or moved, it?s just stuck there.
Basketball
This is one of those easter eggs that are hard to miss: during the Raid multiplayer map, there?s a large basketball court behind one of the houses and you can play basketball by shooting the three balls lined up across the hoop; you can even use the knife to play, making it even harder. Is there a reward in doing this? No, but hey, it?s basketball so it?s gotta be fun, right?
Zombies in Standoff
This one is quite a nice joke: in one of the second floor rooms in one of the houses in the Standoff map there?s a note stating that ?Zombies are coming?. Just a joke or an interesting way to say that more Zombie mode content may be coming? Either way the note is not too much out of place in this map, given its somewhat creepy atmosphere.
Retrogaming
Fancy playing some arcade classics? You?ll be able to do it while playing on the Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map: you need to shoot every mannequin head during the map. Once you?re done, go back to the screen in the center of the town with the kill count and you?ll get a chance to play Pitfall, H.E.R.O., Kaboom and River Raidm with your weapon getting replaced by a joystick. Controlling isn?t as precise as it originally was but still, it?s a nice trip back in time.
Musical Teddy Bears
This Easter Egg is found in both the Nuketown Zombie and in TranZit mode: you?ll have to activate three teddy bears scattered all over the place and once you?ll do, you?ll be able to keep killing zombies while listening to a Skrillex song called Try It Out. In TranZit mode finding all the teddy bears may be more difficult so here are the precise locations: the first one can be found on the bench in the Bus Station, close to the starting point: the second is in the Farm, on the second floor; the third one is in Town, located near a pool table inside one of the buildings.

Garment workers shout slogans as they attend a procession on Tuesday to mourn victims of the Tazreen Fashions factory fire.
By NBC News staff and wire reports
A deadly factory fire that killed at least 111 textile workers was sabotage, Bangladesh authorities said Tuesday, as protesters took to the streets for a second day and garment factories across the world's second biggest clothes exporter stopped work to mourn the dead.
The country's worst-ever industrial blaze broke out on Saturday and consumed the multi-story Tazreen Fashions factory building. More than 150 workers were injured.
The interior minister, Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, said according to a preliminary inquiry, the fire was the result of arson.
He promised to bring the culprits to justice.
"We have come to the conclusion that it was an act of sabotage. We are finding out as of now who exactly the saboteurs are and all culprits will be brought to book," Alamgir said.
Thousands protest after Bangladesh fire traps workers
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also said she suspected the fire was an act of sabotage but she did not identify any suspect or say why she thought the cause might have been arson.

A worker visits a burnt garment factory Monday after a fire which killed more than a hundred people in Savar, Bangladesh.
Victim's families to get $1,200 each The fire has put a spotlight on global retailers that source clothes from Bangladesh, where the cost of labor is low ? as little as $37 a month for some workers ? and rights groups have called on big-brand firms to sign up to a fire-safety program.
Bangladesh has about 4,500 garment factories and is the world's biggest exporter of clothing after China, with garments making up 80 percent of its $24 billion annual exports.
Li & Fung, a company that has worked with the factory and that supplies some U.S. clothing firms, said on Sunday that it would provide victim?s families with approximately $1,200 each, and plans to set up an education fund for victim?s children.
On Monday, it said the company was "very distressed and saddened by the deaths" in a statement that?also sought to reassure investors that the fire?"will?not have any material impact on the financial performance of Li & Fung."
"The total value of orders placed for the year with Tazreen on behalf of Kids Headquarters, a?division of LF USA?? amounted to approximately $111,000," it said in a statement.
"Li & Fung also confirms that the Company has not placed orders for other customers with Tazreen," it addded.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world's largest retailer, said in a statement that one of its suppliers subcontracted work to the factory without authorization and would no longer be used.
A number of other retailers like Gap and Nike rushed to deny any relationship with the plant.
Officials in Massachusetts say a blast, that injured 18 people and damaged dozens of buildings in Springfield's entertainment district, was the result of a utility worker accidentally puncturing a high-pressure, underground pipe while looking for a gas leak.
Lax safety More than 1,000 workers, some carrying black flags, demonstrated in the Ashulia industrial belt on the outskirts of the capital where the factory is located.
They blocked traffic moving on a highway and vowed to avenge the deaths of their colleagues, witnesses said.
"Never shall we give up demands for punishment for those responsible for the tragedy," one worker said.
Hundreds of protesters, mostly from labor and rights groups, also gathered in the capital demanding to know the cause of the fire and calling for punishment of those responsible.
All of Bangladesh's garment factories closed as the nation observed a day of mourning. Flags flew at half-mast on all government buildings.
Working conditions at Bangladeshi factories are notoriously poor, with little enforcement of safety laws. Overcrowding and locked fire doors are common. More than 300 factories near the capital shut for almost a week this year as workers demanded higher wages and better conditions.
At least 500 people have died in garment factory accidents in Bangladesh since 2006, according to fire officials.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) ? No. 1 Indiana had something to prove Tuesday night ? that it could play defense.
Just two days after the Hoosiers put together their best game this season, they delivered an even more impressive performance, getting 20 points from Cody Zeller and 19 each from Will Sheehey and Victor Oladipo, running away from No. 14 North Carolina 83-59 in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
"Our guys played great basketball tonight," coach Tom Crean said. "We played against an incredible opponent, everybody understands how great North Carolina is. Our guys had an edge to them tonight, and it was on the defensive end as much as anything else."
The conventional wisdom is that the Hoosiers (7-0) are one of the nation's top scoring teams.
But the detractors have questioned Indiana's willingness to defend and some have even suggested that weakness has allowed No. 2 Duke to close the gap on the nation's top-ranked team.
North Carolina coach Roy Williams disagrees.
"I think they are," he said when asked whether Indiana deserved to be No. 1. "The thing I like about them is they really are a team. They don't have one guy that beats you up, they beat you so many different ways."
Williams and the Tar Heels (5-2) learned that lesson the hard way in Bloomington.
In the second half, the Tar Heels shot just 27.8 percent from the field and went 0 for 5 from 3-point range. They were outscored 12-8 on the fast break, an area that had caused so much concern for Crean that he lost sleep leading up to the game.
"I know people criticize us for our defense, and they say 'If they can't play defense, how good can they really be?'" Oladipo said.
Offensively, the Hoosiers were their usual balanced selves.
Zeller was 8 of 13 from the field with four blocks, one steal and an assist. Oladipo and Sheehey were both 8 of 12 from the field. Senior guard Jordan Hulls was 5 of 8, including three 3-pointers, and finished with 13 points, eight assists and two steals.
"It's cool," Oladipo said when asked about beating a program like North Carolina this handily. "I mean, we've been working really hard and you guys know as well as I know that this program, well not last year, but over the last couple of years was really struggling and we wanted to get it back to where it belongs, which is on top. So to get a win like that, it's a humbling experience."
The best thing about this game for North Carolina may be the end of its run against teams from the Hoosier State.
A week ago, North Carolina trailed by 29 points in the second half before falling 82-71 to two-time national runner-up Butler.
On Tuesday, it was almost an instant replay.
Indiana closed the first half fast, started the second half fast and spent the rest of the game pulling away. The Hoosiers' biggest lead, 83-51, came with 4:22 left in the game.
Dexter Strickland led the Tar Heels with 14 points, Marcus Paige had 11 and James Michael McAdoo had 10 points and nine rebounds for North Carolina, which was missing sophomore guard P.J. Hairston, who stayed home with a sprained left knee.
There was a bigger problem, though. North Carolina couldn't figure out how to contain Zeller, one of this season's favorites to be the national player of the year.
"Boy, I would love to watch them play if it wasn't against my team," Williams said. "You look down the lineup and Cody Zeller, he's family to begin with, he's really a load to handle, and two other guys that I didn't even hear of when they were in high school, they just kicked our rear ends."
The game pitting two of the country's most storied programs ? which have combined for 10 national titles and 3,767 wins ? had been billed as one of this season's showcase events. For 16 minutes, it lived up to the hype.
Zeller changed everything with two flurries.
By setting high picks and drawing post players outside, it opened up the lanes for his cutting and slashing teammates who wasted no time exploiting the holes in the Carolina defense, using a 15-6 run at the end of the first half to take a 46-37 halftime lead.
The Hoosiers were only getting started.
"If you let them dictate and control the pace of the game, they're going to win," Crean said. "So we had to control and dictate the pace of the game, and to do that, we had to run."
But in the second half, the Hoosiers were out to prove something else ? that they could defend.
Over the first 8? minutes, North Carolina managed only three points, the tip-in and a free throw.
Zeller and Oladipo, meanwhile, combined for seven points in the opening 13-0 blitz that put Indiana ahead 59-37, and North Carolina never challenged again as the Hoosiers won their 34th consecutive home game in November against a team that was supposed to cause havoc.
"It's a huge statement," Sheehey said. "We prepared for this game for a couple of weeks now and that's about it. You saw the score. We played hard, we played well, we played together and when we do that, stuff is going to happen."
Your pain is real, but it?s hard to prove. People react differently to pain. Our thresholds are different and pain can affect us in varying ways. It?s not easy to measure in any objective way. We?ve seen two people with similar injuries have very different pain reactions. One worker with a shoulder injury might recover in a few months and get back to work, while another might never recover.
One key to proving pain is having medical testimony that backs up your claims. Your treating physician?s opinion on your pain can make all the difference. Being honest and communicating well with your doctor is important. One of the worst things you can do is try to suffer through the pain and not follow up with your doctor.
A related issue is talking to your doctor, in detail, about how you were injured. If you don?t explain what you do at work (heavy lifting, for example), they aren?t going to be able to connect the dots and realize that you have a work injury. Again, their opinion on how you were injured is essential to the success of your case. The insurance company would love to argue that your injury was caused by skiing on the weekends and not your job duties.
Another key is respecting your pain. Follow your doctor?s orders and obey any restrictions. Don?t push yourself at work or at home on the weekends. Some insurance companies hire private investigators to follow injured workers and catch them doing something they claimed they couldn?t do. Even honest people get caught in this trap because they push themselves to do things despite the pain. Your daily activities need to be consistent with what you?re claiming. Be honest about your pain, and make sure to act accordingly, even when you?re off duty.
Because pain is subjective, you have to work hard and be careful when proving it. If you fail to get a solid medical opinion or get caught doing something that would indicate you?re not actually in pain, you could lose your case. Your credibility is extremely important in a work injury case, especially if your case ends up before an arbitrator.

hmm... I'm not sure about consoles being shovel, I mean, I have my wii since launch and it still works perfectly, same with my gamecube, haven't bought the wii u because it arrives the 12 of december here in Chile. But man, I just use my consoles to play games, that's why I buy them, because going the pc way is just too expensive and because nintendo always focuses on making games that can be played and enjoyed by everyone. I'm more concerned about developers with their f*****g next gen engines and next gen gaming... where single player is almost no existent or it's so much complicated that I can barely play it... I mean, now racing games have open worlds and s**t... I have to stop on a corner to play a race and most of games have so much stuff going on that everything has glitches and bugs... That's the only thing that concerns me... but actually I have no problems with that when nintendo is doing the games... but I know that nintendo is not going to make a shooter or an action adventure game or an arcade racing with a more realistic theme (not a simulator)... That's up to 3rd party developers... Though I have no problems with huge games with tons of stuff going on... but I think it's just too much, every game has to be big in order to sell... back in the 90's it wasn't like that, third parties made good games with simple controls and interfaces... glitches and bugs only appeared once for a while when you tried to go off the limits of the scenario and stuff like that.
the only non-nintendo console i had was a ps1... I had fun with it, it wasn't that charming for me, neither for my family... but I remember playing my first 60+ hours game (ffix) there as well as playing some medal of honor with my dad, but the loading times were awful... and sometimes the games freezed because of the scratches of the discs... anyway. I hope the wii u does well, it's painful to see glitches and bricks and stuff but, I think it's normal since nowadays consoles have OS, have online features, etc. At least they always try to do the best they can, delivering updates and fixing your console for free if it was their fault.
CHICAGO (AP) ? The Chicago Bears got Jay Cutler back from a concussion, only to lose three more stars to injuries.
Start with Devin Hester. Add Matt Forte and Charles Tillman to the list, and just for good measure, throw in two starting guards.
Consider this a painful win.
Cutler threw for 188 yards and a touchdown after missing a game, and the Bears broke it open early in a 28-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
The injuries, however, tempered some of the good feelings.
Tied with Green Bay for the NFC North lead and just a game ahead of Minnesota (6-5) coming in, the Bears (8-3) grabbed a 25-3 halftime lead thanks to Cutler's pinpoint passing. The defense held Adrian Peterson in check early on, although he finished with 108 yards rushing.
Chicago also came away with three more takeaways to increase its total from a league-leading 30 entering the game to 33.
The rather easy win came after back-to-back losses to Houston and San Francisco, but it also came with a heavy price.
The Bears lost Hester, a receiver and record-setting return specialist, early to a concussion. And that was just the start.
Forte, their top running back, hobbled to the tunnel midway through the third quarter with an ankle injury. Coach Lovie Smith said Tillman, their star cornerback, also hurt his ankle.
Besides those three, the Bears lost both guards in the third quarter to knee sprains, with Lance Louis and Chris Spencer going down. Louis' injury on a blindside hit by Jared Allen as Antoine Winfield returned an interception forced Chicago to go with Gabe Carimi, who lost the right tackle job to Jonathan Scott.
Spencer, meanwhile, was in the lineup after Chilo Rachal left the team.
If the Bears are going to develop any continuity on the line, well, don't expect it anytime soon.
"I don't think it's possible now," Cutler said. "With all the moving parts we have and Lance going down, you're not going to have that. We're going to have to roll with the guys we have and see what we have, lean on our defense as we have before, run the ball well. Be efficient through the air. See how far we go."
As for Cutler, he looked sharp after missing Monday's blowout loss at San Francisco.
Back after being knocked out of the Texans game on a helmet-to-helmet hit by Tim Dobbins, he got off to a scorching start and completed 23 of 31 passes with an interception to go with his TD.
"I felt good," Cutler said. "It was a matter of going through the motions, talking to the doctors. I had a good week of practice, a shorter week with the Monday game and Thanksgiving."
Brandon Marshall caught 12 passes for 92 yards and became the first Bears receiver since Marty Booker in 2002 to go over 1,000 yards. He now has 1,017 yards this season, his sixth straight with 1,000 or more.
"In the third quarter, I leaned over to Jay and said, 'That catch puts me at 1,000 yards for six seasons in a row.' And he looked at me and said, 'You're disgusting,'" Marshall, the Bears' big offseason acquisition, said, laughing.
He added he knew he was closing in because followers on Twitter had mentioned it.
On defense, Henry Melton set the tone by sacking Christian Ponder on the first play from scrimmage. Nick Roach set up the first touchdown by knocking the ball out of Peterson's hands. Chris Conte set another TD with a 35-yard interception return, and Julius Peppers blocked a field goal.
The league's leading rusher, Peterson tied Robert Smith's club record with a 100-yard performance for the fifth straight game even though he managed just 25 in the first half. He also lost two fumbles and had to catch a cab to the stadium and arrived about 90 minutes before kickoff, according to reports.
Ponder wasn't much help, going 22 of 43 with 159 yards and a touchdown along with an interception. His favorite target, Percy Harvin, sat out his second straight game with a sprained left ankle, and the Vikings lost for the third time in four games.
"We knew what we were getting into," Peterson said. "They wanted to make a statement. I thought it was more so what we did, giving the ball away, not making routine plays. Can't wait to see them again."
He won't have to wait long, with the Bears visiting Minnesota on Dec. 9.
Cutler completed 15 of 17 passes for 117 yards in the first half, and the Bears jumped out a big lead after a shaky start on offense.
Forte fumbled on Chicago's first play from scrimmage, leading to a 40-yard field goal by Blair Walsh ? all the scoring the Vikings did in the half.
The Bears broke it open late in the second half.
Bush scored from the 1 and holder Adam Podlesh ran in for a 2-point conversion that made it 18-3.
Ponder got picked off by Conte and he returned it 35 yards to the Minnesota 13. That led to a scoring strike from Cutler to a lunging Matt Spaeth on the next play.
NOTES: Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said he and Peterson were going to have a talk about punctuality after Sunday's delayed arrival. "There is something that Adrian and I need to talk about regarding getting to the stadium," he said. ... Allen thought his hit on Louis after Winfield's interception was a clean one. "I turned around, he was running to make a tackle and I threw myself into him to make a block. My condolences to him and his family. I never, ever, try and intentionally hurt anybody."

Creating and publishing an ezine is a very important part of your online company so you want to make it the very best possible ezine you can. I have produced errors and changed and re-altered my ezine many occasions to make mbt kisumu it the very best it can be. I am nonetheless usually looking for methods to enhance MOE. Over the many years I have discovered a couple of simple methods to improve my ezine. You can easily implement these tips into your ezine.1. Always, Always have your email, alongside with your name and url correct at the leading of your ezine. Incredibly, I have read ezines where I could NOT discover the e-mail or even the name of the publisher!!! Also at the finish of your ezine have name, deal with, phone quantity, and email and url once more for easy access. Nothing is worse than attempting to discover get in touch with information that for some reason is invisible!two. Make sure you also always provide your subscribe and unsubscribe information as well. I would recommend putting this information at the bottom of the ezine. If you post your unsubscribe url right at the leading of your ezine it is like you are ????????????????? inviting your subscribers to unsubscribe.three. Provide a discussion board for your readers to interact with you ?????? ??? and your other visitors. A area entitled, Reader?s Corner or Reader?s Comments, where they can send in their comments, questions, suggestions or what ever. This gives them a opportunity to become a component of the ezine. This also helps construct the reader- publisher connection that is very essential!4. Keep your ezine clear and sharp searching. Don?t include too many of the squiggles and decorations. They might look *cute* but they occasionally make it difficult to read your ezine, therefore prompting the ole? delete finger to become activated! 5. Always provide some original content. ?????? ?????? Creating articles is a great way of performing this. If you are not yet comfortable writing articles, (Yes, you can), write an editorial in every problem. Speak a bit about yourself, the newest happenings in the company, what is going on about the internet, and so on., things of that mother nature. This is a opportunity to deliver out your character, the main thing that tends to make your ezine distinctive!!six. Having too numerous advertisements in every problem is a great way of bringing down the value of your ezine. I ?????? ?? would recommend no much more than four or 5 per problem. Reading an ezine that has twenty or thirty ads (oh yeah, I have noticed them) is not extremely interesting or practical. Most people would not even go through the entire factor. Here comes that delete finger again!! You want your advertisers to get more worth for their ??? mbt cash and having a restricted number of advertisements is 1 of the best ways of doing this.seven. I believe including a small area for this ?n that is a good idea also. Some humor, a small enjoyable, fascinating tidbits, jokes, stories, and so on. We are company men and ladies, but we do not have to be 100% business, 100% of the time!!8. Privateness Coverage ? Place a privateness coverage towards the ?????? ??? leading of ???????? the ezine. Allow your visitors know their privateness is secure with you and your ezine.9. Proofread ? Always proofread and double-examine your text. You do not want your ezine to appear like it was written by a 10 yr outdated. Right all spelling and grammatical errors.ten. Give your ezine an fascinating and pulling title. I marc by marc jacobs have subscribed to most ezines just by the title on your own. If the title gets my focus, I subscribe.Names like: Power Promotion EzineMarketing Mania EzineWeb Success Ezine are short and to the point. They also make me want to read more.Names like:Web Marketing NewsJohn Doe?s EzineHome Business News are much more generic and do not get my attention! They lack the ?oomf? that make me want to subscribe.I hope some of these tips give you an concept of how you can improve your ezine and make it the very best it can be. Remember that ezine publishing is one of the most important aspects of your online achievement. If you are in this business, you should be in a position to say, ?I have My Own Ezine! ? -) Good luck and success to you all!!

Next, consider the method that you would feel when you sell them off to purchase someone else?s medical expenses. Click here to find more information on Austin auto insurance.? You realize you?re responsible for the damages, but perhaps it would be better if you simply take out a larger insurance coverage? People may resent making those monthly premium payments however, if any sort of accident happens, they will really do comprehend the fact that the protection is at place.
The state law requires every driver to have auto insurance. Additionally, if funds are still owed towards the car, lenders require drivers to transport collision and comprehensive coverage also. Texas car insurance policies covers damages, injuries, and other losses included because of your policy. Once in a while, research your policy and appearance for the exclusions section which details all of the things it won?t provide coverage for. Buy a lot more than the basic policy if you feel you?ll be held liable one day with an accident (poor display of confidence, yet needed!)
Many drivers opt for more coverage than is needed legally. It is because the minimal coverage usually is inadequate to really purchase expenses as a result of any sort of accident. Additionally, bodily injury and property damage coverage do not provide you with much protection yourself and your vehicle.

For those who have a lien on your vehicle then your lender will probably request you have much more coverage with collision and comprehensive coverage. Collision coverage can pay to correct or replace your vehicle which is damaged in an accident. Comprehensive will pay for damages that occur as a result of something other than any sort of accident.
With extra coverage you?re just ensuring that you and your vehicle are safe. Once the unexpected happens it can be rather costly, however with the best insurance coverage you are able to protect yourself from financial trouble.

We were on the Radiance of the Seas for the western Caribbean cruise on November 28/04This was our second cruise with Royal Caribbean with our first last year on the larger Adventure of the SeasAfter one cruise with RCI, I expected roughly the same standards with the Radiance and in general, I wasn?t disappointed. Staterooms: Our stateroom was an inside aft cabin and we were not disappointed. It was roomy enough and the lighting was adequate. Closet space and drawers were also sufficient for our use. We noticed that the double beds here were actually a bit better than the one we had on the Adventure since we couldn?t really feel the split between the two separate beds like we did last time. If there?s one thing that can be improved is the shower curtain. The one installed was not adequate in keeping in all the water from the shower. The shower on the Adventure utilized a double glass door system which was far superior. Otherwise, the cabin was nice and dark for sleeping at night. Although we heard a little noise from the cabins next to us, it was minimal. We didn?t miss having any window or balcony at all since we were hardly ever in our stateroom. We were either at port or elsewhere on the ship and went back to our cabins just to relax or sleep. We would definitely book an inside cabin again with RCI unless we had a free upgrade. Dining: The main Cascades dining room was nice and meals were good. Breakfasts had the same menu every morning. Lunch at the dining room was okay. The dinners were good but not every meal item was a winner. There was the odd appetizer and dessert that was not up to par. One thing that my partner noticed was that the portions of the main courses seemed to be smaller than those served on the Adventure. We usually went upstairs to the Windjammer to get more food after dining at the Cascades. In some parts of the Cascades room, the tables were placed too cramp so walking to out own table was tricky at times. The self serve Windjammer was good. It usually had more variety of food than served downstairs at the Cascades. Breakfast and lunch were busy at the Windjammer but during evenings, most people chose to dine at the Cascades. The two other optional restaurants onboard Portafino and Choppe House were available at $20 US per person but we never tried them since the meals already included at the Cascades and Windjammer were fine by us. Other passengers who did go to these optional rooms told us that they were nothing special. There was another cafe available during late evenings called the Seaview and they provided fare such as sandwiches, salads and burgers. This was a nice feature. One thing we did object to was that they charged for the coffee and tea there. There was also a specialty coffee place on the main centrum of the ship and they also charged. We had more availability of free beverages on the Adventure. Service: The service by the stateroom attendants and dining room staff was top notch as expected. Entertainment: The evening shows at the Aurora Theatre were a mix of the ship?s own crew of dancers and singers plus some outside comics and singers. In general, the shows were quite good. We would have liked them to mix up the entertainment each night rather than allocate music, comedy and magic into different evenings. Rather than an entire show of magic, we would have preferred each night featuring a variety of entertainment. Live music around the ship was a nice added touch. Amenities: Although smaller than the Adventure, the Radiance had fine amenities including the gym/spa, mini golf, pools and the shops. There was internet access but at 50 cents per minute, the service is a bit steep. There were things to do during the days at sea such as art auctions, cooking demos and dance classes. However, we felt that there was more offered on the Adventure. As for embarking and disembarking, there was no problem on the Radiance. The 6th level contained the casino and for non-smokers, this was a problem. The ventilation in the casino was not great and as a result, cigarette smoke travelled to adjacent areas near the casino. My partner wanted to avoid going on the 6th level whenever possible. In summary, we enjoyed our cruise on the Radiance of the Seas. However, comparing it to the larger Adventure of the Seas, we would rate the larger ship a bit higher. We liked the huge promenade on the Adventure which was not available on a smaller ship like the Radiance. Given a choice in the future, we would opt for the larger ship. For first time cruisers, the Radiance would still be a good ship to vacation on. This is simply the case of where veteran cruisers would expect more especially if they have been on higher end ships.

TORONTO (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index climbed to a more than one-week high on Thursday as Research In Motion Ltd shares jumped 17 percent on growing hopes for its new BlackBerry devices and as earnings expectations lifted financial stocks.
The market was also supported by data that showed China's manufacturing sector was picking up steam, a sign of increased demand for Canadian resources.
Research In Motion was up 17.3 percent at C$12.00 after National Bank Financial raised its price target on the stock to $15, citing "positive sentiment building in the industry" ahead of the launch of the company's BlackBerry 10 devices.
The stock played the second-biggest role of any single company in leading the market higher. It was the stock's biggest one-day gain since April 2009.
"The dominant news today is the performance of RIM," said John Ing, president of Maison Placements Canada. "The company has had nothing but bad news over the past year, and the stock has been oversold."
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index <.gsptse> ended higher for a fifth straight session. It closed up 53.04 points, or 0.44 percent, at 12,153.10. Earlier in the session, it hit 12,171.20, its highest level since November 13. All 10 main sectors were positive.
Volumes were lighter than usual due to the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday, which closed stock markets there. About 124 million shares changed hands on the Toronto Stock Exchange, compared with a daily average of 281.9 million in October.
The financial sector also edged up for a fifth day, rising 0.3 percent ahead of the quarterly reporting season for Canadian banks, which starts next week.
Expectations for solid results and possible dividend increases at some of the banks have been fueling the sector, said Allan Small, senior investment advisor at DundeeWealth Inc.
"(Canadian banks) are still relatively cheap when you look at where they are trading on a multiple basis. There is definitely some value there," he said.
Royal Bank of Canada, the country's biggest bank, was up 0.4 percent at C$57.81, and Toronto-Dominion Bank rose 0.4 percent to C$80.99.
Small said that the market's recent rise has also improved prospects for insurance companies, which have large portfolios of equities.
Sun Life Financial Inc rose 0.7 percent to C$27.10, and Great-West Life gained 0.7 percent to C$23.49.
The index's materials sector, which includes mining stocks, rose 0.2 percent, extending gains made in the previous session on higher prices for gold and other commodities.
Miner Barrick Gold Corp was up 0.4 percent at C$34.75. Fertilizer producer Potash Corp gained 1.1 percent to C$38.67, diversified miner Teck Resources Ltd jumped 2.6 percent to C$32.59, and Silver Wheaton Corp was up 0.7 percent at C$36.55.
In China, data showed expansion in the manufacturing sector accelerated in November for the first time in 13 months, a sign that the pace of economic growth has revived after seven consecutive quarters of slowdown.
Industrials advanced 0.8 percent, with Canadian National Railway Co rising 1.6 percent, to C$87.12.
